Epilepsy Lifestyle named as Harry Ramsden’s Eastbourne charity
We are absolutely delighted to announce that Epilepsy Lifestyle has beaten off stiff competition to be selected as Harry Ramsden’s local Charity for the remainder of the year.
This follows an initiative by the world famous fish and chip brand, whereby local charities in each of its seaside towns were invited to submit their reasons why they should be chosen to benefit from in-store fundraising efforts. Dozens of local charities took part however we were the charity selected by Harry Ramsden’s team in Eastbourne.
Kyle Miller, Area Manager for Harry Ramsden’s comments; “This process has reminded us that there are so many very worthy causes locally and without doubt, there was merit in every single entry we received, however Marie’s submission stood out for us. For very personal reasons, Marie set up Epilepsy Lifestyle to raise funds to help children and young adults who live with the condition and it is a project our entire Eastbourne team is delighted and proud to support.”
Our Chairperson and Founder, Marie, stated that “I am delighted that we have been chosen as Harry Ramsden’s local charity and it was an absolute pleasure to meet up with some of the Eastbourne team, along with Councillor Jim Murray, the Deputy Mayor for Eastbourne, at the weekend. We are so grateful for this support and are looking forward to seeing what the team have planned over the next few months.”
Until 1 December 2015, 1p from every transaction within Harry Ramsden’s Eastbourne outlet will be given to us at Epilepsy Lifestyle. The staff also intend to host a number of local fundraising events to boost the overall donation so head down to Harry Ramsden’s on Terminus Road to help support us.
